INCOMING - Foreign Medical Doctor
You hold a foreign medical degree and wish to further your expertise in a specific field

After completing your specialization in your home country, further training is possible in Tours through DFMSA (Advanced Specialized Medical Training Diploma).
Applications must be obtained from the Cultural Service of the French Embassy in your country of origin, starting in December prior to the desired academic year. -
If you have started your specialization in your home country, one to three years of specialization can be undertaken in Tours through DFMS (Specialized Medical Training Diploma).

Some Inter-University Diplomas (DIU) offered by the Faculty are open to international students or foreign doctors.
You hold a foreign medical degree and wish to settle and practice in Tours
- If your country belongs to the European Union
- You must contact the Departmental Council of the Medical Association (Ordre des médecins).
- You may apply to enroll in the first year of medical studies in France to attempt to obtain a place.
- Or take a “knowledge verification examination” (Épreuve de Vérification des Connaissances – EVC)
